Connie Thiessen
Connie Thiessen is a 25+ year media veteran who currently serves as editor of Broadcast Dialogue and host of Broadcast Dialogue – The Podcast. She is a key voice in Canada’s broadcast industry, also contributing regularly to sister publication Cartt.ca published by Momentum Media.
Her journalism career has spanned reporting, editing, anchoring, and hosting roles in Vancouver, Halifax, Edmonton, and Southern Manitoba. As Morning Editor, she led News 95.7 (CJNI-FM) to both an Atlantic Journalism Award and a regional RTDNA Award for Best Radio Newscast in 2013. She was also nominated for Music Journalist of the Year at Canadian Music Week in 2019.
Outside of broadcasting and publishing, Connie has applied her skills in promotion, communications, and social media strategy to arts and cultural events across Atlantic Canada, including Halifax Burger Week, the Atlantic Film Festival, and the Nova Scotia Multicultural Festival.
